Little Mix star Leigh-Anne Pinnock is selling her lavish home for £4.95 million –after losing a fight to build an underground pool.

The singer, 29, and Watford footballer fiancée Andre Gray, 29, wanted to splash out on a subterranean leisure complex with a swimming pool, gym, sauna and jacuzzi.

But local councillors sunk the ambitious project and now they have slapped the six-bedroom home on the market.

Wow: Little Mix star Leigh-Anne Pinnock is selling her lavish home for £4.95 million –after losing a fight to build an underground pool

They only moved in three years ago and paid £4.575 million for the stunning home.

The lavish home also boasts six bathrooms, five reception rooms, a ‘wellness suite’ and steam room, plus two acres of gardens and grounds.

A games room and bar has little Little Mix gold and platinum discs on the wall and there is also a plush cinema room. The pad also has a triple garage with further living quarters above.

Estate agent Trevor Kearney believes the house will sell in days – despite a buyer with only a 10% deposit needing to meet £19,763-a-month mortgage payments.

He said of the stunning property this week: ‘New Instruction – £4.95m – I am thrilled to launch this amazing family home to the market today; it was my first pitch of 2021 and I absolutely love it! This is a seller…

‘The house has been thoughtfully designed to create a wonderful blend of impressive formal entertaining space as well as flexible accommodation for family life and a floor dedicated to leisure; the games room and cinema are absolutely amazing.

‘I am really excited about this one going live and helping the wonderful owners find their next dream home… this will be sold in January I am sure, there is nothing like it at this price range in such a prestigious location.’

The couple wanted their spa complex to be partly set into a banked garden with a sunken courtyard at the couple’s luxury pad and the pool underground.

But officials at the council called the proposed 13ft-high development ‘inappropriate’, saying it would harm the green belt area.

Refusing the application last year, they said: ‘It is noted that the proposal would largely be below ground and that land re-profiling would be limited, however this simply means that no additional harm to the green belt would arise.’

As part of planning permission for the new build six years ago, officials at Surrey Heath Council made a condition that no extensions, garages or other buildings can be added without the council’s consent.

The famous pair applied in November for permitted development rights to be reinstated.

In a statement, their planning agent said: ‘The case for the applicant is that the imposition of the condition is not considered to be justified on the basis of reasonableness and necessity.

‘It places an unnecessary restriction on the activities of future householders as it removes freedoms to carry out small scale domestic extensions, outbuildings and alterations.’

Planners are expected to make a decision later this month.

But the local parish council has objected saying: ‘The Committee objected to the proposal to remove the condition previously imposed and would like to see the condition remain as the property is within the green belt.’

This is not thought to be the first time the duo have had planning permission woes, with them last year being allowed to keep a 9ft privacy wall and gates they had reportedly added before getting the go ahead from the council.

Leigh-Anne and the remaining Little Mix members Jade Thirlwall and Perrie Edwards scored a number one last week, following Jesy Nelson’s shock departure last month.

Sweet Melody is the band’s fifth number one single overall and the first since their 2016 track Shout Out To My Ex.

Talking about their number one position, their first milestone since Jesy Nelson left the band, they said: ‘We literally can’t thank the fans enough. We see them every day fighting to get this song to Number 1.

‘The fact this song has been out since October and now it’s got to Number 1 just shows how dedicated they are. We can’t wait to eventually get back on the road again and see them all – and give them a big hug when we’re allowed.’

Jesy confirmed her permanent departure from the girl-group in December, just weeks after revealing she was taking a temporary hiatus from all work commitments.

The documentary star confirmed her exit from the group in a statement, which read: ‘To all my Mixers, the past nine years in Little Mix has been the most incredible time of my life.

‘We have achieved things I never thought possible. From winning our first Brit Award to our sold out shows at the O2.

‘Making friends and fans all over the world I can’t thank you all enough from the bottom of my heart for making me feel like the luckiest girl in the world. You have always been there to support and encourage me and I will never ever forget it.

‘The truth is recently being in the band has really taken a toll on my mental health. I find the constant pressure of being in a girl group and living up to expectations very hard.

‘There comes a time in life when we need to reinvest in taking care of ourselves rather than focusing on making other people happy, and I feel like now is the time to begin that process.

‘So after much consideration and with a heavy heart, I’m announcing I’m leaving Little Mix.’

The brunette went on to express her gratitude towards her supporters and co-members as she added: ‘I need to spend some time with the people I love, doing things that make me happy.
